Everything we do at MTR is for our riders. From as young as two-years old to adults in their seventies, MTR strives to make each ride a fun yet therapeutic experience. We celebrate the success of our riders everyday!

Please take a moment to read the enrollment information below.

Thank you for your interest in Maryland Therapeutic Riding.  On our website, you will find a complete Rider Application Packet, as well as instructions for enrollment into our Program.  The first step toward participating in an MTR session is to fully complete your Rider Application Packet (see link below) and then call us for a site visit.  Once your site visit has been held and all forms have been submitted to MTR, you will be put on the schedule as indicated by your session registration form.

During site visits/evaluations, we will need to ensure that our program is appropriate for you, and that there are no contraindications to you or your child’s participation. At this time we will discuss our services and how we can best meet your needs.  Following the evaluation and the determination that we can safely accommodate you, you will be eligible to register for the next riding session.  Please see our Scheduling Request Form and Payment Form for enrollment fees and session availability.

We strive to provide the safest possible conditions for participants, volunteers and employees.  MTR is a Premier Accredited Center, and we adhere to all the precautions and contraindications by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemandship (PATH).  The acceptance, and continued participation of a rider in our program depends on the availability of instructors, volunteers and suitable horses.  MTR retains the right to refuse any participant that we cannot safely accommodate.

We look forward to seeing you at Maryland Therapeutic Riding!
